Lake County Wine Adventure

The eighth-annual Lake County Wine Adventure, a two-day passport event, will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29. The event is hosted by the Lake County Winery Association.

Throughout the weekend, attendees will taste award-winning wines from five of Lake County’s distinct American Viticulture Areas (AVAs) and 25 plus wineries. Lake County is part of the North Coast AVA, which also encompasses Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino counties. Within Lake County, five other AVAs exist — Clear Lake, Benmore Valley, Guenoc, Red Hills, and High Valley.

The event includes two days of tours, music, and art exhibits and entitles the holder to wine tastings and hors d’oeuvres at each winery, a logo wine glass, wristband, and a four-bottle wine bag. Attendees will be entered into a raffle drawing when they leave their completed wine adventure tickets with the last winery they visit. Raffle prizes include a dozen Lake County vacation and entertainment packages and a grand prize featuring a collection of Lake County wines.

Tickets may be purchased in advance online, lakecountywineries.org or at select participating wineries, including Langtry Estate & Vineyards, Six Sigma, Laujor Estate, Steele Wines, Mt. Konocti Winery, Brassfield Estate, Bell Hill and the Lake County Wine Studio for $35 each or on the day of the event for $45 each.
