The Story….
Founded in 2000 by the de Villaine Family of Burgundy and the Hyde Family of California, HdV directors Larry Hyde (Hyde Vineyard’s Managing Partner) & Aubert de Villaine (Director of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti) are related by marriage. !e family’s winemaking histories collectively span four centuries fusing the "nesse and balance of the Old World with the exuberance of California fruit as expressed by the terroir of Hyde Vineyard.

Producing four wines, de la Guerra Chardonnay, HdV Chardonnay, HdV “Californio” Syrah & the HdV Belle Cousine, Hyde Vineyard’s trademark minerality and structure (natural acidity) allow the wines to complement food, not compete with it. HdV’s wines are for those who seek a balanced California wine.

Three decades of Larry Hyde’s work at Hyde vineyard is at the root of HdV’s wines. Growing fruit for many of the regions elite wineries, Hyde Vineyard produces some of the most sought a#er fruit in the Napa Valley. Seeking to express the terroir of Hyde Vineyard, native Burgundian Stéphane Vivier, acts "rst as a viticulturalist and then as a winemaker. Practicing minimal intervention winemaking techniques, his gentle touch and judicious use of oak allows the wines to reveal the unique characteristics of Hyde Vineyard.
