Fraser Vineyard is Boise’s first winery since the prohibition era, the vineyard is located in the Snake River Valley Appelation and the tasting room is located in downtown Boise. The Canyon County site, in the new Snake River Valley Appellation, was selected for its steep south facing slope, 2,700 foot elevation and abundant Idaho sunshine. The vineyard is comprised of three Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit. The grapes are handpicked and sorted at the vineyard and then carefully transported back to the winery. The winemaking operations are handled at the Boise winery with the help of family and friends who also share their satisfaction in making award winning wines. “As a small family run winery, making the highest quality wines is our top priority. Please stop by and try some for yourself.” New awards 2011 Malbec- Gold medal in the 2013 Great Northwest Wine Competition 2011 Tempranillo- Silver medal in the 2013 Great Northwest Wine Competition
