Realizing the benefits of having favorable climatic condition for winemaking in the mountainous region of Santa Catarina, Sanjo started planting its vineyards in 2002 with the most advanced technologies of production of grapes for winemaking. The conduction system used almost in all crops is the espalier, facing low yields and high quality of fruits. The quality made by climate soil characteristics provides a distinct output, which is expressed in Sanjo wines. The way Sanjo grows grapes is specifically designed to extract maximum quality and preserve the unique characteristics of the fruits from the coldest region of Brazil.
